Shake dirt and take a step
How do you define ‘Life’?
You ask a teenager about life, he or she will define life a hilarious and enjoyable jaunty journey.
If asked to elders, they will share their invaluable experiences about life.
If you ask me, I would say, ‘Life is a learning lesson’.
Life is full of ups and downs. Even if you are born with a golden spoon, someday life will teach you a lesson. Every day we learn something from it which makes us smarter and wiser. Take lessons as a stepping stones, which support our future just like a spinal cord and make us stronger. It helps us to crack down the complex issues.
It depends on us how we take life, learn from it and how we use these lessons like a key in tough times just like the donkey did in this motivational story, a story of a Donkey and his master.*
Story goes like this.
One fine day, a farmer was going to the market with his old donkey. Donkey did not notice the pit and unfortunately fell down into it.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he came to conclusion and decided that the animal was old, and the pit needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He called all his friends to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the pit.
Initially, stony dirt hit the animal and with each dirt he cried horrendously.
Then, to everyone’s amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the pit. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer’s friends continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
Moral of the Story:
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the pit is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Which category you come into?
People say, this world is full of millions of people with their mixed emotions. If I will ask you to categorize the types of people according to their emotions and the way they behave, how many categories will you draw?
Hundreds? Or thousands? Putting population in mind, may be billions.
If you will ask me to categorize into different categories, I will divide them in to just TWO categories. (Obviously I may be wrong as it depends on person to person.)
According to me, there are 2 types of Person in this world….
- One who listens, other who speaks.
- One who understand and learn the Life lessons at right time, others whom Life teaches the lesson.
- One who learn from others Smartness, others who behave themselves as Smart.
- One who learn from others Mistakes, other who learn from their own Mistakes.
- One who enhances Satisfaction, others who enhances Frustration.
- One who don’t react to Critics and their Criticisms, others who overreact.
- One who controls Anger, others who get controlled by anger.
- One who Smile in every situations, others whose smile depends on their moods.
- One who enhances Positivity, others who suppress Positivity.
- One who accepts own Mistakes, others who Blame.
Finally, I can draw two categories, one I call it Mature-Optimist and other I call it Immature-Pessimist.
Which category you come into?
Keep Smiling.. 🙂
