How to Never Give Up

how to never give up

Stay Alive – Age is just a number. Said numerous times and it is just a two digit number. To accomplish your dreams age doesn’t play any role in it. I have read several stories about leaders and entrepreneurs who started their journey lately and left an impact on the world.

Steve Jobs, who left impact on the world with Apple actually did his best works in his forties. Jim Clark started companies named ‘Silicon Graphics‘ and ‘Netscape‘ at the age of 38 and 50 respectively. You must have played games at Facebook, Google+ and on your Apple or Android phones. These games are provided by ‘Zynga‘, a California-based company. Man behind Zynga is Mark Pincus, started this at the age of 40.

“Dreams and Goals have nothing to do with age.”

Lower your Expectations – Always dream big. But when it comes to practical life, always start from small amount and from scratch. Money or less investment doesn’t matter, what matters is our Passion for our work and Patience. Do your work passionately and give time some time. Expect less. We have to have deep patience. Preparing a masterpiece takes time and on the way towards preparing your masterpiece, you will face lots of difficulties. These difficulties will test your ability and patience. We should never leave hope.

“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope”

– Martin Luthar King, Jr

Stronger – You are stronger than you think. One should never underestimate his or her abilities. We all are born with talents and are unique in our own capabilities. Work hard and do it from your heart. We may not be a ‘born-with-silver-spoon’ guy but we must work so hard that our life becomes inspirational and golden.

“I am not born with golden or platinum spoon, but my confidence and perseverance will make my spoon golden.”

Persist – Whatever the circumstances are, whatever problems we face, whatever happens or even at some time luck may stop favoring us but we should never, never give up. We must not stop. Keep trying. If one path doesn’t work, think the alternative, do a bit of calculations and achieve the goal. In my dictionary failure means learning.

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”

Maya Angelou

Fake It – When you wake up in the morning, go in your balcony and treat yourself like a King. Go in front of the mirror and look yourself like a rising star. We must be Day Dreamers. Act like a successful personality, talk like a leader and live life like a King. Imitate the big leaders and work accordingly. But don’t just dream; plan and work to achieve your dream.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”

– Harriet Tubman

Don’t Compare – Careful! Don’t compare yourself with successful people. They have their own story. You really don’t know their story. Write your own and work in that direction. Make your story an inspiration. Yes, we can get inspired from our mentor’s story and use their life as a reference. But never compare yourself with any one. Unfortunately if you failed to achieve your goal, it will crop a jealous factor. Result is crystal clear – Relationships will get doomed and ruined.

“When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everybody will respect you.”

– Lao Tzu

The Dip – Life is full of ups and downs. Every successful has to go through rough phase and these rough parts should be taken as learning lessons. I always believe, after night, day comes. Just like a sculptor carves the stone to give it a masterpiece. A bad time actually tests us, make us learn, make us internally stronger and prepare us for our future.

“A temporary pain always give you gain.”

So, never give up. Achieve your goals and change the world.

Keep Smiling… 🙂
