Stop dancing to negative tunes

When I was a kid, I hardly used to go out of my home. Even when bell would ring I don’t dare to open the door.

I used to skip social gatherings, festive evenings etc. and even if I had to go (forcefully) and attend these, then hardly used to talk to any one there. This doesn’t mean, I was like ‘not-to-mingle’ person but I was worried, what people will say about me. How will they react once I start talking to them. Lots of questions would arise in my mind.

I was living in an isolated world.

It happens with every one of us. It must have happened with you, if not hats off to you. I wish I would be like you.

What will people say at my back’ put me in the isolation. I could not handle criticism. This word ‘Criticism’ made me shiver. It made me frightened. Socializing with people and rubbing shoulders with them for me was like walking alone in timorous and terrified midnight in the jungle.

I was living in the midst of Critics, their criticisms and people used to gossip about me. Unfortunately, I danced to their negative tunes.

“People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?”

– Nhat Hanh

Before I move forward, let me ask you one simple question.

If you accidently caught in the marshland then what will you do to get out of it?

Yes, you guessed right!

You free your body and will try to grab some support and slowly try to come out of it. The more you make yourself rigid and stay there, the more you go deeper inside the marshy land. You know the result.

These negative people in our society who talks behind our back or criticizes us openly are not lesser than the marshy land. The more you stay with them, higher the negativity surrounds you. The more time you spend with them, more unhappiness will start revolving around your soul like satellites orbiting around the planets.

Wherever you go, they and their echoes will follow you.

What to do in these circumstances, when you get caught with these negative people while socializing?

keep calmWill you stop going or visiting these ecstatic places (the way I did)? Will you stop talking to incredible people who can inspire you, inject the positivity inside you and who can share life changing ideas?

No!

Just ignore them, live your life freely. Put the wings on your back and keep visiting numerous people no matter what they talk about you or how they react at your entrances or exits. Don’t waste your energy after them and their idiotic gossips. Entertaining these people are waste of energy, time and most importantly spoiling our mood and soul. If you don’t love talking to someone, just politely ignore them with smile on your face. Trust me, your million dollar smile will kill their egos and confidence.

ignore negative peopleNot going at such thrilled places because of the negative people will isolate you, the way it did me. Yes, I was hundred percent wrong and obviously was immature in my teenage days. But when I got to know my mistake, suddenly I worked on it and changed my attitude and it changed my life.

Now, whenever I go to parties or socialize with others, I just ignore the criticisms with my beautiful smile and never let their negativity enter in my soul. I filter out their negative impacts and receive positive vibrations from the environment, the way modern air conditioners filter out dust particles and provide you chilled air and give you soothing experience.

We go to social gatherings and meet various incredible people and increase our network. Strengthen our relationships with those who love us and care for us. Going there and not talking to beautiful people is like walking in the beautiful garden and avoiding the fragrances of the beautiful flowers.

In garden, you may get few thorns as well but because of these, will you stop visiting the garden?

Ignite the passion within you

When we were kids, we used to enjoy every moment of our life. We were surrounded by ecstatic group, the group we were proud of and used to flaunt about. We had no goal, no tensions, no work pressure apart from school homework and we never considered our life seriously. We weren’t serious about it. Those were halcyon days of our life.

Still we were passionate, energetic and full of motivation.follow_your_passion

Where did we get the motivation from? What was the motivational factor? Who injected inspiration in us? What made us smile?

You guessed it right.

Friends!

Friends and friendship was our passion.

We developed and weaved beautiful dreams in our mind like weaving colourful sweaters.

As we grew older and got to know about life and relationships, got to know about priorities and our life got diverted from personal life to the professional life. As priorities changed, our goals changed and it changed the source of motivation.

Guess what?

Our dreams got shattered like ruptured glass and we adopted the scenario which later changed our motivation and passion. When passion and motivation fade, confidence drops and seeds of frustration burst over.

Result is crystal clear. Depression crops up and we ruin our precious life.

“Follow your passion midst reaction.”

We must never ever end up our passion. Passion makes us. It gives intense happiness which no one can ever provide you. Rebuild your motivational factor and prepare goal. Get inspired from leaders who changed the world. Ignite the passion within you.

Criticisms are blessing in disguise

“The nearer you go towards the light, bigger the shadow becomes.”

Same goes with the word Criticism. If you are planning to do something great and incredible, which can drop an impact on the world then you have to cross a lot of barriers and obstacles and these barriers are living bodies, called Critics and obstacles which they throw on you are coined as Criticisms.

criticizingSomeone told me, “The day you start receiving criticisms, feel that you are going in the right direction.”

“The greatest threat to freedom is the absence of criticism.”

– Wole Soyinka

We must never take these sharp criticisms so seriously. They are temporary and can be easily overcome if taken them smartly and carefully. I have seen many people in my professional as well as personal life who get carried away by these irrelevant criticisms.

Here are the simple yet very powerful tips to avoid CRITICISMS:

  1. Filter out negative and absorb the positive words
  2. Don’t concentrate on the harsh parts of critics
  3. Keep your mind calm and don’t get excited
  4. Smile when people bombard on you
  5. Stop thinking when critics leave your place or you leave theirs
  6. Change your mood and fresh up your mind
  7. Forget and forgive

Isn’t that simple?

Believe me, I always follow these points and no one can destroy my confidence. I simply love facing critics and as I said earlier, if taken smartly we can learn a lot from them and their harsh speeches. It builds our strength and makes us strong.

“I like criticism. It makes you strong.”

– LeBron James

Receivers are always been beneficiary than givers. Be a strong receiver and learn as much as from these negative givers and turn your life into positive.

“Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.”

– Dale Carnegie

Don’t trap yourself inside the room. Open the windows of your heart and keep your mind broad and deal smartly.

Criticisms if taken wisely become blessings in disguise.

I am Colour-blind. Are you?

Sometimes I feel that my eyes aren’t working properly. I feel something suspicious with my eye’s retina.

Am I color-blind?

Color of happinessLet’s see.

Today’s life has become fast and in this fast life, we actually have forgotten most of the things.

We have forgotten our Family.

We have forgotten our Smile.

We have forgotten our Friends.

My dear friends, we have forgotten our life.

We have lost ourselves in the fast running crowd, a denser crowd. Where ever my eyes scan, I just see people running after everything. A big crowd running after one goal.

We are running after Money.

We are running after our Career.

We are running after Happiness. (Literally many of my friends have actually confessed me.)

We are running after our personal goals and to achieve them we can go to any extent.

Result – Stampede!!

We have actually become selfish and day by day we are becoming more egocentric. Unfortunately, we achieve none of them. It’s like running after a butterfly. The more you try to catch her, farther it goes.

When we couldn’t achieve any of our dreams, frustration starts building. We become intolerant, skeptical and seem suspicious. Our mood becomes irritating. We can’t see other’s happiness. It’s a human tendency.

We are living in the life of grievances. We are surrounded by negative vibrations and negative people.

Fortunately, we can change this.

Yes we can change everything. We can crush the negativity.

We can change this irritating atmosphere. We can change our nearby surroundings. We can literally convert this resentment into affection, happiness and love.

How?

Smile a lot. Start your conversation with simple and genuine praise and compliments. Always talk from your heart. Be an epicenter of love. Carry positive vibrations along with you. Make people laugh.

Always be polite. Don’t get excited to something as they are temporary.

“For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty

seconds of peace of mind.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Your laugh should be so energetic that it can kill the negative vibrations across your surroundings.

“Smile is a Contagious. The more you widen your lips, the more you soften others hearts.”

I always see happiness everywhere. My eyes stuck at smiling faces and those who aren’t smiling, start smiling because of my positive vibrations.

“Sometimes I feel that am color-blind as I just see colors of happiness as I can’t see grievances anymore.”

Let your eyes be color blind. They are beautiful part of your body and they are there to see colorful world, a smiling world. Not the grievances.

Keep Smiling… 🙂
